Medpark’s evolution continues: the country’s first international hospital expands (with the launch of Medpark City Clinic) and becomes a medical system

Medpark announces the launch of construction works for Medpark City Clinic – a strategic step through which the hospital transforms into a modern medical system and strengthens its commitment to offering patients in the Republic of Moldova access to diversified medical services that meet international standards.

Medpark City Clinic is a next-generation medical hub and is part of one of the most important urban development projects in the Republic of Moldova – a complex that will include two international Marriott International brands, Moxy Hotels and Residence Inn by Marriott, alongside the new medical center within the Medpark system.

The complex is being developed by Summa and FIBA Group. The construction launch event took place at Endava Tower on December 2, 2025, in the presence of government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives of Summa, FIBA Group, and Marriott International. The project represents a total investment of 40 million euros, with the complex estimated to be commissioned in the first half of 2028.

Emil Ceban, Minister of Health of the Republic of Moldova: “In recent years, the Republic of Moldova has clearly defined its direction in the continuous development of medical services so that every citizen can benefit from safe, high-performance care comparable to that of European Union member states. To achieve these objectives, we need constant investment in modern infrastructure, advanced technologies, and continuous training of healthcare professionals. This progress can only be achieved through real and mature cooperation between the public and private sectors. The inauguration of Medpark City Clinic is precisely an example of such a strategic collaboration. It is a project that complements national development efforts and directly contributes to improving the quality of medical services offered to the population of the Republic of Moldova.”

Medpark City Clinic will provide innovative medical services developed in accordance with international quality standards, with a focus on personalized medicine and the specific needs of each patient. The center will benefit from medical specialists with international certifications, ensuring excellence in service delivery and a patient-centered care pathway—from prevention and diagnosis to complex treatments and recovery.

Olga Șchiopu, General Director of Medpark: “The launch of the Medpark City Clinic project marks an important milestone in the transformation of Medpark from a hospital into an integrated medical system, capable of responding to the evolving needs of patients and supporting the development of medical services at international standards in the Republic of Moldova. Through our development projects, we aim to diversify the services we offer so that we can meet any health-related needs of citizens of the Republic of Moldova, while also contributing to the development of the national healthcare system. This evolution represents a long-term commitment: building a complete, patient-centered medical experience. It is a strategic step through which we strengthen our role in the country’s healthcare system.”

Among the specialties planned for Medpark City Clinic are longevity medicine and personalized medicine, preventive care centers, rehabilitation, audiology and ophthalmology, endoscopy, and an aesthetic medicine center. This multidisciplinary structure will allow patients to benefit from integrated and coordinated services, ensuring both specialized interventions and programs for prevention and health monitoring.
