Another over 60 other companies received grants worth 41.7 million lei through ODA

The Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) signed on Monday grant agreements with 61 companies, while the grants will allow attracting investments worth over 95 million lei into the economy. Of the total number of beneficiaries, 48 received grants from the state budget, 11 from the European Union, while 1 investment project is financed by the World Bank. The beneficiaries have been identified under 3 programs managed by ODA. In particular, within the Re-technologization and Energy Efficiency Program, 44 companies will receive grants worth 37.7 million lei, while the volume of their investments in the national economy is estimated at 86.7 million lei. These funds will be used to purchase modern equipment and implement sustainable energy solutions, such as installing photovoltaic panels and modernizing production lines. Under the Women’s Entrepreneurship Support Program, 9 companies will receive grants worth 4.16 million lei. The implementation of these investment projects is expected to bring at least 7.73 million lei to the economy. The financed initiatives are aimed at business development in such sectors as flour-milling, bakery and confectionery production, health care and education. Under the Development of Moldovan Diaspora Entrepreneurship 2 (DOMDE 2) program, 7 companies in the education, manufacturing, mental health and tourism sectors will receive grants worth 688 thousand lei. This funding will contribute to investments worth 917.2 thousand lei. The program is financed by the European Union and is implemented with the support of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development and the Migration Partnership Facility through ODA, Veneto Lavoro and BRD. It is worth mentioning that in 2024, ODA assisted 595 companies in receiving grants totaling more than 250 million lei. Of this amount, almost 179 million lei came from the state budget, while 54 million lei were provided by the EU within the EU for SMEs project. The total amount of investments in the economy amounts to 532.4 million lei. Also, the World Bank supported 20 companies under the SMEs Growth and Internationalization Program, providing almost 8 million lei in financing, while under the Digital Innovation and Tech Startups Support Program, 20 companies received grants worth 8.5 million lei with the financial support of the American Enterprise Fund Ukraine-Moldova in partnership with the Future Technologies Activity (FTA), financed by USAID, Sweden and the United Kingdom. // 24.02.2025 - InfoMarket.
