The profit of small and medium-sized enterprises in Moldova (before tax) in 2022 increased by 9.7% compared to 2021 and amounted to 27 billion 088.8 million lei.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, wholesale and retail enterprises received the largest profit last year - 8.8 billion lei, which is 19.5% more than in 2021. With a large gap, they are followed by: SMEs operating in the field of agriculture, forestry and fish farming - 3.6 billion lei, or 1.5 times less than in the previous year; enterprises in the field of transport and warehousing - 2.33 billion lei (an increase of 2.5 times); in the processing industry - 1.76 billion lei (-2.2%); enterprises operating in the professional and scientific and technical fields - 1.72 billion lei (+ 20.3%); in the ICT sector - 1.69 billion lei (+26.1%), etc. Last year, in the sector of production and supply of heat and electricity, gas supply, supply of hot water and air conditioning, losses of 6.6 million lei were registered against a profit of 68 million lei a year earlier.
