The prices set by ANRE for basic petroleum products of the standard type fell below the psychological threshold of 21 and 18 lei per liter.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) announced this while publishing on Monday a new maximum price for basic petroleum products of the standard type, which will take effect from tomorrow. Thus, the maximum cost of A-95 gasoline will be 20 lei 90 bani (-12 bani) per liter, and diesel fuel without a commercial name - 17 lei 97 bani (-14 bani). As noted by ANRE, the rate of decline in prices on international markets recorded in November is still directly reflected in the prices set by the energy regulator in accordance with the new methodology. So, recently the maximum price for A-95 gasoline has decreased by about 1 leu per liter and the price of standard diesel fuel - by 0.80 lei per liter. At the same time, the appreciation of the national currency against the US dollar partially restrains the cheapening of fuel prices in our country. As a reminder, from September 1, ANRE sets only the maximum cost of basic petroleum products of the standard type - A-95 gasoline and diesel fuel without a commercial name. Each gas station can set prices for other types of fuel independently. Retail sale of basic petroleum products of a standard type at a price exceeding the maximum price set by ANRE is prohibited. Petrol stations are allowed to retail other types of basic petroleum products, except for those for which ANRE sets maximum prices, only on condition that basic petroleum products of the standard type are sold at the same petrol station. // 29.11.2021 – InfoMarket
