Over the past day, 1,533 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Moldova; another 24 people died because of complications.
According to the Ministry of Health, 9,440 tests were processed per day, respectively, almost 16.2% of them were positive. Among the new infected, 14 people recently arrived from Germany, Italy, Russia, France, Greece, Poland, Romania and Spain. The virus was also confirmed in 37 healthcare workers (including 16 doctors and 13 nurses). Most of the new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the municipality of Chisinau - 488 and in the Transnistrian region - 154, in the municipality of Balti - 112, and in the rest of the country from 1 to 63 people have been infected with the coronavirus over the past day. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic in Moldova, 299,843 cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed. About 95% of citizens who contracted the coronavirus recovered, and 2.3% died from complications caused by COVID-19. Over the past day, 24 people aged 37 to 87 have died, and the total number of coronavirus victims has reached 6,901 people. During the day, 1,215 people infected with the coronavirus recovered, and the total number of recovered people is 282,862 people. Currently, 10,080 people are being treated, of which 1,703 are hospitalized. The condition of 222 patients is assessed as extremely serious, 35 are connected to ventilators. 7,638 people with mild and moderate forms of the disease are undergoing home treatment. // 06.10.2021 – InfoMarket
