In particular, the minimum wage is set at 5500 lei per month with an average monthly working time of 169 hours, which amounts to 32.54 lei per hour. When working less than 40 hours per week, the minimum hourly wage is calculated by correlating the minimum monthly wage with the average number of hours per month, according to the work schedule approved by the law. As a reminder, in 2024, the minimum wage in Moldova will amount to 5000 lei - 25% higher than the previous year - 4000 lei.
