Moldova will simplify access to data on land and real estate taxes from local bodies for individuals and legal entities.
This is provided for by relevant amendments to the customs and fiscal policy for 2023, which were developed by MPs Radu Marian and Dan Perciun. The legislative initiative is aimed at specifying, clearly regulating and uniformly applying the regulatory provisions of the customs and fiscal policy. In particular, the document aims to simplify the access to information on land and real estate taxes from the local public administration for individuals and legal entities. In this sense, the State Chancellery will ensure the publication of relevant information in a single source, on the website of the Register of Local Acts. At the same time, the bill proposed by the MPs suggests that for properties acquired after August 31, their declaration should be extended until March 25 of the following year. Another change proposed by MPs explicitly states that retired patent holders will not be required to pay the fixed amount of the mandatory health insurance contribution until the final cancellation of the patent. It also specifies that persons holding positions in the top leadership of the Customs Service will be exempt from probation. Another proposed change would allow the Customs Service to take ownership of seized goods and sell them for the benefit of the state. At the same time, Radu Marian and Dan Perciun have also prepared amendments to the 2023 State Budget Act, which are aimed at increasing the basic prime rates of certain categories of state employees. It is also proposed that criminal investigation officers and investigators, such as those from the Interior Ministry, the National Anti-Corruption Center, and other agencies assigned to specialized prosecutors' offices, should receive salaries similar to those of prosecutors. The authors propose that the bill on amendments to certain normative acts should take effect from the date of publication in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova). // 15.02.2023 - InfoMarket
