According to the Ministry of Finance, all payment documents submitted to the Treasury were fully financed. Thus, for 7 months in 2023, expenses from the state budget amounted to 43 billion lei, which constituted 53.7% of the annual budget, of which: from the Road Fund, subsidies to the State Roads Administration - 823 million lei, transfers to local budgets - 11.779 billion lei, of which: general purpose transfers (money that can be used to cover current needs) - 1.964 billion lei; targeted transfers for education, culture and social assistance - 8.726 billion lei; transfers with special purpose for road infrastructure - 359.8 million lei; from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (European Village Program) - 543 million lei; transfers from the Ecological Fund and for improving living standards in the rural sector - 148.8 million lei. Payments for subsidizing farmers amounted to 889.4 million lei, expenses for fixed assets and capital investments amounted to 715.3 million lei, for the purchase of goods and services - 1.7 billion lei. The Finance Ministry transferred 2.823 billion lei to economic agents for the reimbursement of VAT and excise duties. The state social insurance budget received 10.541 million lei, including 4.085 billion lei to cover the deficit by collecting taxes and fees from the state budget.
