Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spinu announced this while speaking on the Moldova în Direct program on the public TV channel Moldova 1. He noted that in connection with the increase in the purchase price of gas, Moldovagaz should submit to ANRE calculations of new tariffs for end consumers for the energy regulator to approve them. Andrei Spinu believes that the new gas tariffs should be adopted as soon as possible so that the company does not accumulate additional debts. “We discussed the tariff forecasts with the head of Moldovagaz. There are a number of scenarios, and I think that Moldovagaz will contact ANRE no later than the end of the week to request a new gas tariff. The energy regulator will approve the new tariff in the following days. Based on this new tariff, the government will offer support measures for citizens, compensation to mitigate the growth of tariffs,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
