
Moldova: The volume of natural gas consumption in June 2024 amounted to 14.97 million cubic meters, which is 1.7% higher than the same period in 2023.
The press service of Moldovagaz reported this, noting that, at the same time, compared to May of this year, this figure decreased by 10.4 million cubic meters (-41.1%). At the same time, residential consumers, as of June 30, repaid 98% of the amounts invoiced, which is 0.4 percentage points higher than the same period last year. In the case of non-household consumers (legal entities), the share of payments reached 98.4% (+1.8 percentage points). For enterprises in the country's heat and power sector, the payment level was 100% (+4.2 percentage points). During the reporting period, 402 consumption points were disconnected from the network, the owners of which owed the supplier 1.3 million lei. At the same time, 243 consumers were transferred to advance payment due to the previously suspended supply for failure to pay the cost of consumed natural gas on time. According to Moldovagaz, the level of payment for consumed natural gas as of June 30 reached 98.9%, and amounted to 6 billion 013 million lei, which is 32.8% lower than the same period last year due to significant changes during this tariff time. // 09.07.2024 – InfoMarket
