500 freelancers have registered as independent entrepreneurs in Moldova since the beginning of this year

The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization presented this data, noting that this is a clear sign that the initiative is gaining support and that people are choosing legal, simple, and low-tax work, using the new regime for freelancers. As a reminder, at the beginning of 2026, the so-called Freelancer Law came into force, introducing a new tax regime for independent entrepreneurs.
