
Moldovan exports to Romania in the first half of 2022 totaled $664.1 million, up 1.8 times compared to the same period of 2021.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the share of supplies of domestic goods to Romania in the total volume of Moldovan exports during the mentioned period increased from 28% to 28.99%. At the same time, the volume of imports from Romania in the first six months of 2022, compared to the previous year, increased 1.7 times - up to $702.5 million, and its share in the total Moldovan import increased from 12.86% to 16.16%. As a result, in January-June 2022, Moldova's trade deficit with Romania amounted to $38.4 million, 18.6% less than in the same period last year.
