ANRE plans to reduce the gas tariff for household consumers in Moldova by 1.8% - from 11.08 lei to 10.88 lei per 1 cubic meter.

ANRE plans to reduce the gas tariff for household consumers in Moldova by 1.8% - from 11.08 lei to 10.88 lei per 1 cubic meter.

This follows from the draft decree of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), prepared for the approval of new tariffs for natural gas, which will act instead of the preliminary tariffs approved on November 9. In particular, the energy regulator proposes to reduce the previously approved preliminary tariff for natural gas at points of exit from low-pressure gas distribution networks (household consumers) by 1.8% - from 10260 to 10076 lei per 1,000 cubic meters (excluding VAT), medium pressure - by 2.1% - from 8649 to 8466 lei, high pressure - by 2.2% - from 8331 to 8148 lei per 1,000 cubic meters. Thus, taking into account the 8% VAT, the tariff for natural gas for household consumers in Moldova may decrease from 11.08 lei to 10.88 lei per 1 cubic meter. As follows from the materials of ANRE, the energy regulator has calculated new gas tariffs for consumers, taking into account a slightly lower average purchase price of fuel at $423.4 per 1,000 cubic meters. Earlier, the preliminary tariff was calculated on the basis of the average purchase price proposed by Moldovagaz at $430.15 per 1,000 cubic meters. In addition, when calculating the new final gas tariffs for end consumers, a different exchange rate of 17.68 lei per $1 was taken into account instead of the exchange rate of 17.9 lei per $1 previously set in the preliminary tariff. The ANRE materials say that in general, the volume of gas purchases this year for consumers on the right bank of the Dniester will amount to 1 billion 177.01 million cubic meters of gas and will remain at the same level. As InfoMarket reported earlier, according to Moldovagaz, the purchase price of gas purchased by Moldova under the contract with Gazprom in January 2021 was $126.7 per 1,000 cubic meters, in February - $126.7, in March - $127.7, in April - $195.16, in May - $290, in June - $324.08, in July - $367.27, in August - $449.39, in September - $504.56, in October - $800.62 with the average annual price of $148.61 per 1,000 cubic meters included in the tariff. In this regard, it was necessary to increase the gas tariff for household consumers so that it would be possible to pay for the more expensive gas consumed. Moldovagaz noted that, according to forecasts, gas prices on the market will decrease in the coming months. It was expected that the purchase prices for gas for Moldova, which are determined by a hybrid formula, taking into account the binding in a certain ratio to oil products and to spot prices, would amount to $512.15 per 1,000 cubic meters in November, and in December - $421.54. // 16.12.2021 - InfoMarket.
