The accelerated growth in prices for petroleum products in Moldova is caused by the general upward trend in their quotations on international exchanges, which have reached new record values in recent days - NAER.
This was reported by the National Agency for Energy Regulation, noting that, in particular, on January 19, the price of Brent oil rose to $89.05 per barrel, reaching a maximum level recorded on October 13, 2014. The same maximum level over the past 7 years was also recorded according to Platts quotes for gasoline and diesel fuel. NAER has published a new maximum price for basic oil products of a standard type, which will come into effect from tomorrow. And thus, on January 20, the maximum price of COR 95 gasoline will be 22.33 lei per liter (+0.11 lei, compared to the previous day), and diesel fuel without a commercial name - 19.3 lei (+0.16 lei) . The National Agency for Energy Regulation said it applies the appropriate legal framework with accuracy and strives to ensure that prices for basic standard-type petroleum products are fair, accurately reflecting developments in the international market, both in periods of growth and decline in quotations // 19.01.2022- InfoMarket.
