Energocom announced the start of pre-qualification of natural gas suppliers for gas purchases in order to ensure Moldova's energy security and use of gas in an emergency.

Energocom announced the start of pre-qualification of natural gas suppliers for gas purchases in order to ensure Moldova's energy security and use of gas in an emergency.

As noted in the company's message, Energocom intends to purchase natural gas within the framework of the "Ensuring the Security of Moldova" project with an estimated cost of $300 million. The Moldovan government plans to borrow these funds from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and allocate part of them to cover the cost of purchased natural gas to create a reserve in case of emergency. According to Energocom, the gas purchase contracts to be financed from the EBRD loan will be governed by the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules (PP&Rs) and will be open to firms from any country. Pre-qualification of firms to bid will continue until April 5, 2022. Pre-qualification documents will be sent electronically free of charge upon request, or can be downloaded from the internet at the following link https://energocom.md/en/. Pre-qualification documents must be properly completed and sent electronically to the company email address no later than April 5, 2022. Interested firms or individuals may obtain additional information by emailing tenders@energocom.md. No interested company will be able to proceed to the next stages of the natural gas purchase procedure unless it is on the list of pre-qualified suppliers. // 14.03.2022 - InfoMarket
