The purchase price of gas supplied by Gazprom to Moldova will slightly decrease in May and will be $660.76 per thousand cubic meters.
The chairman of the board of Moldovagaz Vadim Ceban announced this, noting that the entire volume of gas from the Russian supplier will be directed for the needs of Tiraspoltransgaz. Earlier the head of Moldovagaz announced that in April the purchasing price of gas supplied by Gazprom to Moldova will amount to $673 per 1,000 cubic meters. As InfoMarket agency earlier reported, the average annual gas purchase price in 2022, according to Moldovagaz, will amount to $841.62 per 1,000 cubic meters, which is 2.7 times more than in the previous year ($306.19). According to Moldovagaz, in particular, it was $607.3 per thousand cubic meters in the first quarter of 2022, $1026.47 in the second quarter of 2022, $1533.72 in the third quarter, and $957 per thousand cubic meters in the fourth quarter of 2022. At the same time, according to Moldovagaz, the average gas purchase price in 2021 will be $306.19 per thousand cubic meters, including $127.04 per thousand cubic meters in Q1 2021, $237.89 in Q2 2021, $504.56 in Q3 2021 and $527.8 per thousand cubic meters in Q4 2021.
