
322 million lei will be allocated from Moldova’s state budget to increase the authorized capital of Energocom.
Such a decision was adopted by the Commission for Emergency Situations. It is agreed that the transfer of financial means will be ensured by the Ministry of Finance upon request of the Public Property Agency. Energocom will send to the National Financial Market Commission the documents of additional issuance of shares for notification and inclusion of the relevant entries in the Register of Securities Issuers. The Single Central Securities Depository will not charge a fee for registering the securities within the additional issue of Energocom shares. It should be noted that the charter capital of the company increased last year from 100 thousand to 307 million 216 thousand lei. Energocom is 100% owned by the state. Energocom is the central supplier of electric power. The company supplies electricity at unregulated tariffs for the domestic market. Since July 1, 2014, Energocom operates on the natural gas market in Moldova as a natural gas supplier, is entitled to engage in natural gas supply at unregulated prices, to import gas for the needs of the domestic gas market in Moldova, to enter into direct contracts for natural gas supply from imported sources as a supplier, with gas supply companies, transmission operators, etc. // 30.08.2022 - InfoMarket
