The Parliament of Moldova will hold its extraordinary session from August 26 to September 8.
The corresponding decision was made on Thursday by the Permanent Bureau at the request of Speaker Igor Grosu, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of Parliament. The initiative to convene an extraordinary session is due to the need to consider and adopt as a matter of priority a number of legislative measures in order to support the population, government agencies and economic agents in the context of the energy crisis and the refugee crisis. Thus, the draft agenda of the extraordinary session of Parliament, approved by the Permanent Bureau, includes draft amendments to the Law on the State Budget, the Law on the State Social Security Budget and the Law on Compulsory Health Insurance Funds for 2022.
