ANRE has approved a decrease in the gas tariff for household consumers by 8 bani to 11 lei per 1 cubic meter of gas (including VAT) as of January 1, 2022.

ANRE has approved a decrease in the gas tariff for household consumers by 8 bani to 11 lei per 1 cubic meter of gas (including VAT) as of January 1, 2022.

The decision was approved by the Administrative Council of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) at a meeting on December 24. In the middle of November, ANRE approved a preliminary natural gas tariff at 11.08 lei per 1 cubic meter of gas (VAT inclusive) requested by Moldovagaz. The tariff for natural gas at the outlet of medium-pressure gas distribution networks will be increased by 63 bani to 8,649 lei and by 63 bani to 8,868 lei per 1,000 cubic meters for high-pressure gas. Moldovagaz representatives, on their part, noted that while setting tariffs, ANRE had used the average exchange rate of USD for the last year, but not the actual exchange rate. This may force Moldovagaz to reapply for higher tariffs, as the financial impact of the enterprise in 2022 only due to an incorrect exchange rate could amount to 70 million lei. // 24.12.2021 - InfoMarket.
