Fuel prices in Moldova rose to record highs against the backdrop of the continuing rise in the price of oil products on the stock exchanges - ANRE.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) announced this, noting that it had set the following maximum retail prices for the main oil products of the standard type for the period of January 15 to 17: gasoline COR 95 - 22.00 lei / liter (+0.07 lei, compared to the previous day) diesel fuel without a commercial name - 18.84 lei/liter (+0.13 lei). As emphasized by the ANRE, over the past 6 weeks, there has been an upward trend in prices for basic oil products on international markets. Thus, compared with the minimum values of December, Platts quotes increased by $134.5 per ton of gasoline (+20.61%) and by $136 per ton of diesel fuel (+22.94%). During trading on January 13, the price of Brent crude oil exceeded the threshold of $84 per barrel (+23% compared to early December). ANRE assures consumers that the calculated prices for the main oil products of the standard type accurately reflect the latest developments in the international market and exclude any possibility of oil companies interfering in this process by unreasonably raising them. // 14.01.2022 – InfoMarket
