The total amount of negative tariff deviations of Moldovagaz from April 2021 to January 2022 exceeded 2.65 billion lei.

Such information was presented by the Chairman of the Board of Moldovagaz, Vadim Ceban, who published on his telegram channel the information on the dynamics of purchase prices for natural gas and their coverage through the current tariff, graphically presenting the situation that developed from April last year to January 2022. As follows from the given information, in 2021 the price of natural gas included in the tariff, through October, was $148.6 per 1 thousand cubic meters, and from November - $430.2 per 1 thousand cubic meters. At the same time, the purchase price for gas for Moldova all these months exceeded the price included in the tariff. In particular, in April 2021 it was $221.3 per 1 thousand cubic meters, in May - $265, in June - $324.1, in July - $367.3, in August - $449.4, in September - $552.3, in October - $800.6, in November - $506.4, in December - $457.9, in January 2022 - $686.9 per 1 thousand cubic meters. Thus, the purchase price of gas for Moldova was as close as possible to the price included in the tariff for end consumers, only in December 2021 it amounted to $457.9 against $430.2. As a result, the total amount of negative tariff deviations of Moldovagaz from April to October amounted to 1 billion 369.2 million lei, and from November 2021 to January 2022 - 1 billion 281.4 million lei. In general, the total amount of deviations is 2 billion 650.6 million lei. According to the law, these tariff deviations must be reimbursed to the enterprise. This happens, usually, by including them in the tariff. // 25.01.2022 - InfoMarket.
