Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spinu announced this, noting that this follows from a published study on the connection of Moldova and Ukraine to ENTSO-E (European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity) in 2023. Andrei Spinu noted that the possible accession of Moldova to ENTSO-E in 2023 could bring it a number of advantages: access to a transparent and fair electricity market; the possibility of diversifying sources of electricity; improving energy security. The ENTSO-E organization is responsible for the management of the electricity transmission system, as well as cross-border trade and supply of electricity in the EU.
