Applications for the competition for the position of Director of the Management Board of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) are accepted until February 21.

The Parliamentary Commission for Economy, Budget and Finance is holding a competition to select candidates for the position of Director of the ANRE Management Board. Candidates will be selected in accordance with the Regulations on the procedure for organizing and holding a public competition to select a candidate for the position of Director of the ANRE Management Board. In particular, persons who meet a number of requirements can apply for the position of director of the ANRE Management Board: they must be citizens of Moldova; have a higher education in a technical, economic, financial or legal field and at least 10 years of work experience in one of the above areas, including at least 3 years in senior positions in government institutions or in enterprises in sectors regulated by ANRE; have an impeccable reputation and have no criminal record; speak the state and English languages; not belong to any party. The competition will evaluate the education and work experience of candidates - in the core industry (energy, utilities, water supply and sewerage, as well as in related areas), managerial experience, reputation and honesty, vision regarding the development and reform of ANRE, knowledge of the energy market and international experience. Applications of candidates are accepted until February 21, after which, within 3 working days, at an open meeting, the parliamentary commission will study the dossier of candidates and approve the decision on their admission to participate in the competition. Admitted candidates will participate in an interview at a public meeting in the order of submission of documents for participation in the competition. Candidates with the most points will be selected. If several candidates receive equal final scores, the commission will select the most suitable candidate by a majority vote, which will be proposed for approval by Parliament. Let us recall that the ANRE Management Board is a collegiate body, which consists of 5 directors appointed by the parliament. Currently, the ANRE Management Board includes Octavian Calmic, Eugen Carpov, Violina Spac and Vaeceslav Untila (General Director of the ANRE Management Board).
