Moldova: oil products continue to rise in price against the backdrop of a strong influence of rising quotations on them on international exchanges - ANRE.
As the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) noted, in particular, over the past 10 days, Platts quotes for basic oil products have grown by more than $50 per ton and exceeded $890 per ton of gasoline and $825 per ton of diesel fuel. During the previous week's sessions, the price of Brent oil crossed the threshold of $93 per barrel, and the last time such a value was in October 2014. As a result, on February 8, ANRE set the following maximum retail prices for the main standard oil products: gasoline COR 95 - 23 .43 lei/liter (+0.11 lei compared to the previous day); diesel fuel without a commercial name - 20.36 lei/liter (+0.13 lei). ANRE assures consumers that the current standard-type pricing mechanism for basic petroleum products ensures fair, transparent and easily verifiable prices. They accurately reflect developments in the international market and exclude the possibility of oil companies interfering in the pricing process through unreasonable increases. // 07.02.2022 - InfoMarket
