
The volume of natural gas consumption in Moldova (without Transnistria) in February 2022 amounted to 136.9 million cubic meters, which is 26.2% lower than the same period in 2021.
This was reported by the press service of Moldovagaz, noting that, at the same time, compared to January 2022, this figure decreased by 50.8 million cubic meters (-27.1%). Residential consumers, as of February 28, 2022, have repaid 92.2% of their bills, up 2.6 percentage points from the same period last year. In the case of non-residential consumers (legal entities), the share of payments reached 97.1%, with an increase of 3 p.p. At the enterprises of the heat and power sector of the country, the level of payment amounted to 99.7%, which is 0.1 p.p. higher than in the same period last year. During the reporting period, 6 consumption points were disconnected from the network, the owners of which owed the supplier 19.7 thousand lei. Herewith, advance payments were made to 19 consumers in connection with the earlier suspension of supplies for non-payment of the cost of consumed natural gas on time. According to Moldovagaz, the total level of payment for natural gas consumed this year as of February 28, 2022 amounted to 2 billion 558 million lei and covers 96% of supplies. // 14.03.2022 — InfoMarket
