Premier Energy plans to increase electricity tariffs for households by 43.7% to 2.17 lei per 1 kWh, excluding VAT.
This is stipulated in a published draft decree of the National Energy Regulatory Agency, which the energy regulator plans to approve soon. According to the document, in particular, for Premier Energy consumers, whose power installations are connected to low-voltage distribution power networks (0.4 kV), the tariff for electricity supplied is proposed to increase by 43.7% - from 151 bani per 1 kWh to 217 bani (excluding VAT). For Premier Energy consumers connected to medium voltage networks (6;10 kV), the tariff may be increased by 48.8% - from 125 bani to 186 bani per 1 kWh, and for those connected to high voltage networks (35; 110 kV), by almost 51.8% - from 114 to 173 bani per 1 kWh. Earlier, the director general of the National Agency for Energy Regulation, Veaceslav Untila, stated that the electricity tariffs for final consumers of Moldova could be increased in two stages. The next stage of increase of the electricity tariff is expected after April 1, when the new electricity supply contract will be signed, the new purchase price and the amount of negative deviations of electricity distribution companies will be known. It should be noted that the last adjustment of electricity tariffs for final consumers of Moldova was made in late January 2021. At that time, by ANRE's decision, electricity tariffs for household consumers of Premier Energy were reduced by 10.1% to 151 bani per 1 kWh, starting February 1, 2021. // 15.03.2022 - InfoMarket
