The State Tax Service has determined 100 winners of the tax lottery on the occasion of winter holidays, each of them will receive winnings of 1,500 lei.
According to the State Tax Service, 10 million transactions with bank cards made between December 1, 2022 and January 8, 2023 took part in the special New Year's edition of the tax lottery. The total amount of transactions during this period amounted to 3.1 billion lei. Recall that all individuals who have reached the age of 18 and who own a bank card of one of the Moldovan banks automatically participate in the tax lottery. The drawing of prizes is carried out among transactions carried out by means of bank cards in POS-terminals of the country, when purchasing goods or services worth more than 30 lei. The list of winning transactions generated by the system on the day of the draw is sent to licensed commercial banks to determine the winners. Banks, in turn, submit a list of winning transactions to the STS, notifying the winners by phone. Cash winnings will be transferred to the winners' card accounts in lei within 10 days from the date of publication of the list of winners on the STS website. On a quarterly basis, the State Tax Service holds 4 regular drawings of cash prizes (the prize is 1 thousand lei), 2 more special drawings - for winter and Easter holidays (1.5 thousand lei).
