Energocom has signed contracts for the supply of electricity in September at previous prices with the Moldovan HPP and the Ukrainian Energoatom.
Andrei Spinu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development announced this, noting that, in particular, 67% of the required electricity will be supplied to the right bank of the Nistru River from the Moldovan HPP, located in the Transnistrian region and owned by the Russian company Inter RAO, at $59.9 per 1 MWh, the same price as in June-August. At the same time, Energocom will buy 30% of electricity in September from the Ukrainian Energoatom at $77 per 1 MWh, the same price as in June-August. In order to purchase 3% of the electricity to balance the peak consumption, Moldovan authorities concluded a contract with the Ukrainian company Ukrhydroenergo, which will supply electricity at a price of $100/MWh. According to Andrei Spinu, as a result, the weighted average price of electricity in September will be $66.23/MWh, and the electricity tariff for citizens and the economy remains unchanged. The Deputy Prime Minister specified earlier that the weighted average price of electricity for August was $65.03/MWh. // 01.09.2022 – InfoMarket
