The term for the import of petroleum products through the Transnistrian region is planned to be extended until June 30, 2022.
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development proposes to amend the government decree "On Certain Aspects of the Import of Petroleum Products across the Eastern Border" and to extend for another six months the deadline for the import of petroleum products through the Novosavițcaia-Cuciurgan checkpoint, established earlier until December 30, 2021, ensuring the possibility of their customs clearance at the customs post "Bender 2". The department holds consultations on the project until December 13. As a reminder, since August 2016, Ukraine has suspended the supply of oil products to the Transnistrian region by rail through the checkpoints "Colbasna-Slobodca" and "Novosavițcaia-Cuciurgan" on the Transnistrian section of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border. The movement of cargo with fuel was redirected through the Ocnitsa checkpoint. Then the goods were delivered to the railway stations "Ribnita" and "Bender 2". After discussions with the Ukrainian authorities and reaching agreements, as well as on the basis of requests from fuel importers, the Cabinet of Ministers of Moldova on November 9, 2016 allowed companies to import oil products through the Transnistrian region, through the “Bender-2” customs post, carrying out customs clearance at the “Novosavițcaia-Cuciurgan ", until an effective joint control mechanism is provided. This decision was taken on a temporary basis until December 31, 2016, but subsequently this period was extended every six months.// 07.12.2021 — InfoMarket
