The decision of the parliament to instruct the Accounts Chamber to conduct an audit in Moldovagaz is "rather political and wrong" - Vadim Ceban.

Vadim Ceban, Chairman of the Board of JSC “Moldovagaz”, said this to journalists, noting that this is his personal opinion, but “Moldovagaz” is ready to comply with the law and provide all information to auditors from the Accounts Chamber. “I cannot and do not want to comment on the decisions taken by the legislative body. I have a personal opinion, the state does not have a controlling stake, the Accounts Chamber cannot conduct an audit, we have independent auditors who are hired on the basis of a transparent competition, and, accordingly, we conclude contracts with companies that are included in the Big Four, Big Five, with companies that have a good reputation. This has always been the case, because the state can audit the organizations in which public money is used the most. We did not use state money, therefore, here I believe that the decision was made rather politically, and I cannot comment anymore, but we are ready to comply with the law and, accordingly, provide all the information to auditors who will come from the Accounts Chamber, ”said the head "Moldovagaz". Vadim Ceban believes that this decision is incorrect from the point of view of corporate governance. “It’s not that I don’t like it, I don’t think it’s right, this is my opinion, and my opinion is supported by the majority of experts, we don’t need to invent something new here,” said Vadim Ceban. //03.01.2022 – InfoMarket.
