This was stated by the new Director of the Secretariat of the Energy Community Artur Lorkowski during a meeting in Chisinau with members of the Administrative Council of the National Agency for Energy Regulation. The official is on his first visit to our country, and this was his first high-level meeting with representatives of NAER. In his speech, NAER Director General Veaceslav Untila stressed the importance of cooperation between the two institutions in recent years, which was professional, and the results of cooperation are reflected in the energy legislation in our country, as well as in the reports submitted to the Moldovan parliament by the Secretariat of the Energy Community. In turn, Artur Lorkowski said that he is pleased to start his mandate in Moldova, and the experience of Poland (his homeland) in the field of energy reforms can be a vivid example for the development of regulatory mechanisms in Moldova. During the discussions, the parties also touched upon other topics, such as the independence of the regulatory body in its activities, the role of the Agency in the implementation of European legislation in the field of energy, the current situation with providing the country with natural gas, as well as problems related to balancing the power supply system in the region.
